"Antifa" was a militant arm of the German Communist Party in the early '30s and fought street battles with anyone differing with their politics. The only bullies who could out-bully them were the Nazis and that fighting is what caused the Nazi Party to gain ascendency in Germany.

WWII vets fought for our country and did so very bravely and nobly against the Nazis, the Fascist Italians, and the Japanese. They weren't "antifascists" - they were American fighting men defending our country and freeing the conquered nations.

P.S.: despite this guy's father's memory, the Germans didn't waste torpedoes on minesweepers. They're too small for torpedoes and usually attacked using the U-Boats very effective deck gun.
