Democrats Demand $5 Billion in Foreign Spending to Reopen Government
Armstrong Economics ^ | 16 Oct 25 | Martin Armstrong

The provisions placed by the Democrats are utterly absurd. The headlines discuss the issue of health care without mentioning the endless demands they’ve made that in no way benefit America or the American people. Half of our elected representatives are refusing to reopen the government unless the GOP agrees to send $5 billion in taxpayer funds to foreign nations.

What will these foreign nations do with our $5 billion in aid so crucial that the US government cannot effectively operate without it? Naturally, the majority of the package ($1.8 billion) will be funneled through USAID into NGOs that line politicians’ pockets. The organization will also require an additional $200 for administration costs.

Global Health and PEPFAR-linked Programs requires $900 million to fund globalist disease-based control through shady NGOs, the World Health Organization, and UNICEF. Humanitarian and Disaster Relief (International Disaster Assistance) to the tune of $850 million must be sent to places like Ukraine, Gaza and Sudan. Peacekeeping and Security Support will require $700 million and will be spent on FAILED missions in Haiti, Lebanon, and Mali, among others.

Forget America’s economy—the Democrats wants to provide $600 million to the Economic Support Fund (ESF) & Democracy Initiatives. The money will go toward anti-corruption measure, ironically, and governance and freedom programs throughout Eastern Europe and Latin America. Since the debt ceiling is of no concern, the Democrats want to spend another $440 to global organizations like FAO, UNDP, and the International Development Association.

The situation becomes stranger when you look at the details. Honduras apparently needs $25 million in aid immediately for “climate resiliency.” The Balkans require $5 million LGBTQ democracy grants. There is a plan to send $2 million to support Democratic feminist principles in Africa. Again, half of America’s elected officials believe the government simply cannot operate without this funding.

The Democrats cannot fathom why Republicans are not willing to spend an additional $1.5 TRILLION. That’s adding 25% of all federal spending on top of the current budget. Yet, these politicians grab their microphones and cry that the GOP wants to prevent “middle-class folk” from achieving the American dream.

These people have destroyed the middle class and are intent on destroying the US economy because their actions only benefit their wallets rather than the people.

“We are being extorted by our own government.”

It’s a rainbow of theirs and they know where to find those pots of gold. Maybe by the time they get there they’ll find some dirty old trash cans full of garbage instead.

You assume they have something to offer in 2028. The democrats , based on obstructionist policies like shutting down the federal govt, fighting ICE and embracing criminals, demanding more unsustainable spending, sympathizing with terrorists and yearning for more proxy wars….I cant see how they win without cheating and thats getting more difficult for them by the day. The left has finally began to reap what theyve been sewing. If the economy is in good shape rolling into 2028 …. The left is doomed for at least another 4 years

But RINOs back illegal immigration so they can get cheap labor and Walmart etc. love it because they’re given EBT/SNAP cards, landlords get the $$ for housing, etc.

The entire system is designed to screw the average American. Look at all the new millionaires in Congress - not ones that went there rich but the ones that became rich.

I don’t see America surviving as a nation another 20 years.
Think it’ll fall apart and be reconstituted.

How about having the UN sell off its prime land in Manhattan, write some checks and then dissolve?

To paraphase a slogan from long ago:

"Millions for defense, but not one cent for tribute!"

Democrats are the modern day equivalent to the Barbary Pirates.

Yep USAID was a gravy train for democrat NGO’s.

Yup, USAID was classic Democrat money laundering, with little actually getting to the people in need, funding their bottom-dwelling paid activists in DC. They're a bunch of useless wannabe power freaks out of university social sciences programs telling people in other countries how to live, destroying families there every bit as surely as they have done in American cities.

Starve them.

Not mathematically impossible, but politically impossible.

For instance, get rid of all the unconstitutional government agencies. Sell off federal government land or lease out the rights to the natural resources on them. Have an amendment that requires a balanced budget. And one for term limits and no pensions for congress critters. Require all laws passed by congress are in effect for all citizens (no exempting congress from their decisions). Go to a flat tax.

It can be solved over time, but it would require the federal government to give up control. So politically impossible.

If the GOP quits on this one, I'm done with the GOP. There is so much corruption in the gov't, no one seems to know where to start.

We couldn’t eliminate USAID permanently without an act of Congress, but we could and did defund it. Of course, if democrats seize power they can restart it, but that is beyond our control. If we dissolved it, they could just reinvent it. The fight against tyranny is never ending, never finally won.

You could be right….. but for now even RINOs cant screw this up for the GOP. Trump is in full control and laser focused on his agenda. His policies are sound and many supported by democratic voters. Yelling racist, nazi, felon, etc isnt working anymore for them. When they cite Trumps poll numbers , theirs are worse. When they cite high inflation @ 3%, they cannot run from the policies they enacted that left us with years of hyperinflation. They are openly advocating for criminals… whether illegal immigrants or subway murderers. Cannot bring themselves to condemn assassinations of folks they don’t like. Democratic party is hot garbage…. And a muslim communist, a bartender turned socialist politician nor a lone transloving gunman will not save them.

The DC democrats customarily loot for themselves foreign aid pools of US taxpayer money. This is no different. They must be getting close to being on life support.
