Trump Refuses to Commit to Two-State Solution as Uncertainty Looms Over Gaza Deal, Despite Day of Ceremonies

But plenty of questions remain about what lies ahead for peace in the region, particularly the future of Gaza. In the agreement, there is no mention of plans towards a Palestinian State that is recognised by the United States, nor clear plans on Gaza’s future governance.

This has somewhat been laid out in Trump’s initial 20-point peace plan. During Gaza’s redevelopment “the conditions may finally be in place for a credible pathway to Palestinian self-determination and statehood,” Trump’s plan states. Advertisement

But the President made no mention of a Palestinian state during his remarks at the signing ceremony on Monday, and has previously criticized recent moves from western countries to recognize Palestine.

On Monday, asked by reporters about a two-state solution, Trump would only say: “We’ll have to see.”

Trump added: “I’m not talking about a single-state or double-state or two-state. A lot of people like the one-state solution, some people like the two-state solution. We’ll have to see.”

A lot of things we will not know about it’s how deals are made and it derives the media insane.

this time there is money at stake. Lots of money. Maintaining stability to protect the investment will trump Islamic extremism.

There was lots of money at stake in 638 when the Muslims took Jerusalem as well.

Money is no obstacle to muslim conquest of the West - for the second time in history. Bomb vests trump investments.

There is no such thing as “Islamic extremism”, there is only Islam. Until everyone stops making excuses, separations, word salads, overlooking reality & history, nothing will change; Islam will march on.

More realistic here and not on the naive Trump bandwagon on this issue - past and present history, let alone Islam are against any such peace. Muslims will continually pull wool over Western eyes, saying and behaving as the West wants and expects ... until the right time to strike - a year, 10 years, decades, but the strike will come.

One can be the greatest statesman that ever lived, have all the money and power in the world, the greatest optimism, but none of that will stop Islam. Until people wake up and see Islam for what it is, nothing significant will ever change. Long before that, Islam will have destroyed Western Civilization again and overrun the world, plunging it into darkness once again.

A two-state solution means in a few years the war will resume.

Two State Solution?

Hamas and the PLO want a One State Solution, with Israel eliminated.

Israel tried the two state solution, when they withdrew from Gaza the first time. How did that turn out?

In fact an Arab state constituting two thirds of the Palestinian Mandate was created in 1921 (Transjordan) with a Saudi prince at its head. So there are two states created out of the original Palestinian Mandate at present.

Fact: If the terrorist and Muslim states would lay down there arms there would be peace. If Israel was to lay down its arms, there would be no Israel.

"The second phase is Hamas disarmament. Good luck with that."

If they don't comply with the second phase of the deal they agreed to, then force will be used to make them comply.
