A Jacksonville woman is facing multiple felony charges in connection with an incident outside a charter school on Tuesday that also led to the arrest of multiple bystanders who Sheriff T.K. Waters said violated Florida’s new “Halo Law.”
Waters said the arrests are the first for the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office involving the Halo Law.
The entire encounter was captured on an officer’s body camera video and by at least one bystander’s cellphone. The cellphone video was circulating widely on social media platforms this week.

“Erika McGriff, 39, who is a habitual traffic offender and had her Florida driver’s license revoked, parked her car in an intersection and left it running when she was out of the vehicle.”
Laws don’t apply to certain demographics.
For anyone curious as to the other arrests made...

The race hustler crump is now involved.
I would appreciate consecutive sentences, NOT concurrent.
Did the driver of the car ever come out to move it?
I can’t say what I want to, but I’ m thinking it.
They do in Florida. Paging Grady Judd!
What’s the Halo Law? Punching and/ok biting Police Officers does not usually equate with “Angelic” behavior.
NEW LAW 2025 – Florida’s Halo Law

Didn’t even have to look. I knew just what I’d see. Fatigue doesn’t even cover it at this point.
You won’t be disappointed. It’s their culture to be combative.
All laws are rasis, traffic laws, even the law of gravity are rasis.
The halo law say you can “express your displeasure”, film or carry on. You must simply do it at least 25 feet away. It’s for officer safety. If you watch some of these arrest videos you see the cops go to make an arrest and then everybody and their brother comes out of the woodwork to harass and obstruct the officers. The cops and prosecutors in Florida got sick of it and got this law passed. I’ve seen some say it’s a violation of a persons 1st amendment rights. That’s bull💩. Say what you want. Just do it OVER THERE.

The intention is appropriate, to protect officers or first responders from physical assault, but I thought we already had such laws. The difference here is providing an exact measurable distance between the aggressor and the target of such aggression.
Enforcement and prosecution of those who violate the law is the only thing that will make a real difference. Similar to “Hate Crime” laws. It’s already against the law to curb stomp somebody’s head when they are not presenting a threat.Race or some other discriptor of the victim should not matter. Should not matter.
We had obstruction of justice laws. But they seemed to be inconsistently applied or dismissed by judges. They felt they needed another tool in the toolkit to deal with an ongoing issue they were having.

All the stereotypes in one incident.
She dindu nuffin.
She ain’t resisting...( while actively resisting.)
She “can’t breeve” x 100
He wuz touchin’ her!
Somebody call her momma!
This behavior is why we can’t have nice things. It is killing our country, and is entirely culturally based. It must be stopped.
Call for backup. Boot the car. Walk away.
Let the entitled offender deal with the towing and impound fees. She'll get the message.
Taze first, ask questions later.
Archie Bunker....
Nuff said, yall know.
