Jay Z’s wife has already done an SB halftime show so I guess it would have looked a bit too nepo to have her do another.

I think the Gay Bunny is more the type for modern day football “fannies”.

I have a modest proposal.

Let’s consider the reality that football as a sport is an incredible teaching mechanism. Strategy, power, teamwork and individuality, brutality, rules, disagreements, emotions, rivalry…it’s better than almost every other sport in this regard.

There are tons of people who say “boycott the NFL.” Well…I get it. At the same time, I don’t work for tons of people. And frankly, boycotting the NFL is akin to boycotting FR because the mods don’t zot every bigot on this board.

As such, for those who like to think, here’s the proposal:

1. Watch the Super Bowl, on TV or stream it.
2. Set up an app or webpage or X account etc and track all the advertisers in real time.
3. Flood the advertisers’ social media with BOYCOTT posts in real time. Keep it up forever.
4. During the halftime show, change the channel to the Puppy Bowl or Nickelodeon or the Food Network etc. Drop from streaming services so much that it’s noticeable.
5. Flood the Puppy Bowl et al advertisers’ sites with “WE LOVE YOU AND ARE BOYCOTTING _____.”
6. Flood Bad Bunny’s social media with Images of Trump while he’s performing. Never stop.
6. Wait until kickoff, then go back to the SB.

From a $$$ standpoint, Bad Bunny as superbowl halftime artist makes a lot of sense. He’s going to make Jay Z a lot of money.

A different established top artist, like Taylor Swift or Metallica, would probably cost Jay Z a lot of money.

I dumped TV in my home in 1997, so obviously I’ve never seen a superbowl since then, though I’ve watched a couple of halftime shows on youtube. Loved the Who.

I keep hearing about this guy, but I have no idea who he is and don’t really care. For me it’s a bit like the old threads about the bird flu, swine flu, and yes, even Covid. It’s a curiosity that I pretty much ignore - until it plays out and dies out.

Key words, “pretty much”. I mean, I posted this, right?🤣
