So the DEA is not corrupt ?
Homeland is not a bloated Bush concoction?
Ok then 😂

From google AI
“As of early 2025, there are approximately 2.3 to 2.4 million non-military federal employees, which includes civilian employees and Postal Service workers.”

My reaction as well.
I don’t remember any firings as the result of a government shutdown before.
Trump is reimagining government.
But it has been the Democrat’s motto for years.
“Never let a crisis go to waste”

I am glad they fired 4,000, but they need to fire 400,000 or more.

Sounds like you were in the same situation I was...I managed to fire 2 civilian employees I supervised - long, drawn-out process...but had some “nonessential” employees calling in and willing to work even when pay stopped and they didn’t know if they be paid or not.
There are some good federal workers.

4000 vs .2%
4,000 sounds a lot more significant than .2%
People don't think in percentages, while real numbers make them think.

Yeah, when I got laid off I didn’t jump to victim class about being “fired”.
