Tom Cotton Drafts Bill to Shrink H-1B Visa Program
Breitbart ^ | 9/29/2025 | Neil Munro

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) will introduce a bill on Tuesday that would sharply reduce the number of H-1B migrants working in U.S. white-collar jobs.

The bill, to be announced Tuesday morning, would begin to count visa renewals as new visas, so ending the current practice of allowing unlimited renewals for most of the 85,000 visas granted to companies each year.

The unlimited renewals policy allows roughly 750,000 H-1B visa holders to retain white-collar, career-track jobs that would otherwise have gone to young U.S. graduates. Without the exemption, the number of company-employed H-1B visa holders would drop to roughly 250,000.

The Cotton bill would also end the policy of exempting H-1B visas from the 85,000 limit if they are awarded to non-profits, which include corporate-affiliated research centers, universities, hospitals, and government K-12 teaching jobs. The non-profit H-1B workforce is large and growing, and is also harming many young Americans who are both skilled and eager for careers in laboratories, hospitals, lecture halls, and classrooms.

-snip-

“Colleges and universities shouldn’t get special treatment for bringing in woke and anti-American professors from around the world. My bill closes these loopholes that universities have abused for far too long,” Cotton said in a press statement.

“This isn’t just affecting junior roles but mid-level roles, too. I’m chatting with folks mid-career who have never had an issue finding a job, who are 4-6 months into their search, and who have only had a couple of interviews after hundreds of applications”

The politicians who support the Indians will lose their elections next year.

It’s bad out there. That why the politicians are starting to deal with the Indian invasion because of the midterms. Supporting Indians for midterms will be like supporting transgenders in the last election. Radioactive.

“And just like that, there were no Ukraine posts any more.”

He may have been told that the vicious FR Ukraine ‘wars’ were hurting FR fundraising.

He should be told that the vicious anti-India hate is hurting FR fundraising.

We're all aware that the old Uniparty stance on H1-Bs was BS, but the mockery and trolling is getting pretty old, and makes FR look bad.

To top it off, he doesn't kick in to the Freep-A-Thons - a sure sign that he doesn't support Free Republic, instead being MORE interested in chasing supporters away.

Mark my words - he's gonna start in on the Chinese next, and we'll see multiple threads bashing Chinese in the US.

Yesterday I dealt with Choice Hotels which appears to be an Indian cooperation. Each person I spoke to jibber-jabbered in a language they call English but isn’t. (I know this because I speak English, and that ain’t it.)

I’ve read that they hire only other Indians for every position — front desk staff, I.T., housekeeping, etc. They bring ‘em over here and dilute American culture, and take American jobs.

The robo phone menu lady speaks perfect English, BTW.

I don’t trust Cotton, not really saying much though.

It’s a race to the populist beltway swamp bottom. Senator Hawley was moaning about CEO salaries and sounding like a Marxist the other day. Conservatives must be better.

I’m sure. When 1,200+ at Walmart are tossed due to kickbacks & are rehired with no consderation to Americans, there’s a big problem.
Someone should show Cotton this. Maybe he’ll do something other than kicking the can down the road:

Don’t visit the LaQuintas at:

- Buffalo Airport
- The Pyramids in Indy.

All-Indian.

I don’t pay much attention to LinkedIndia lately. So, I haven’t noticed the complaining there.

I have noticed Mumbai McCormick has gone silent in the Atlanta area regarding H1B green cards.

The trickle of Indians, prior to the 1990 Immigration Act, has become a full-blown invasion.

“Government” told our kids to enter STEM fields. So did the media. So did the public schools. If nothing is done to get these kids employed, we’re looking at a major student loan bailout.

Trump can come out of the mid-terms with an easy victory, provided he sends the guest workers home.
It’s that simple.
