I’ve got a toroidal thing, it just hovers there, with a direction, and a sort of needle that rests against a clear plastic screen, to keep it from flyin’ off. Spin it, and it spins for a while. It’s remarkable how quickly it stops being interesting. This new thing may have some neat applications.

Absolutely, Friction-less Bearings is a really big deal.
One of the main challenges of all the past “Perpetual Motion Machine” designs was Bearing friction.

Well there’s your problem right there. They have to get down to at least 0.05 Pascals and then they’ll really have something.

There was once a big US government study of owl spit.
Every few minutes owls spit. Researchers analyzed samples of the spit’s composition because a healthy environment in the woods could be seen but if there were no tiny rodent bones and the owls had resorted to eating tree bark it was a sign they were desperate to find nourishment and the forest was dying out.
Ha.
