My wife is a better driver than any Tesla.
Who needs a recall when you can just push a patch to the self-drive software wirelessly?
AI, self driving cars & EV’s are in their infancy. What else can be expected? The craze for new technology is often crazy, literally.
I want nothing to do with any of it until all is proven safe and economical. Those that jump at it are fools.
Never buying an EV or going into a self driving car.
Then it's not full self-driving, is it? If I have to pay attention, I might as well just drive the thing anyway.

Great at starting stuff but quickly loses interest. Must have others to finish his inspiration or brain farts.
Alfred E. Newman’s alter ego.
This was the problem I had with the TV Show Knight Rider. They come up with a flawless fully self driving car and they put it in a two-seater sports car? Come on, you might as well just drive it! What I wanted was having it in an RV so I could have it drive me to school while I took my last-minute shower and got dressed.
And 40 years later the tech is STILL letting me down.
I agree, the thought of getting into a self driving auto is terrifying. None for me.
Exactly. Its actually worse, having to babysit it and continually judge whether or not to take over, than to just do it yourself.
I feel 10 times safer with the Tesla driving than my wife personally.
You didn’t tell her that, did you?
I don’t want it near me on the roads until it works.

If they run into you, you will have “something to do with it” anyway, if you survive.
yes, and she feels safer too especially on those high overpasses that she hates to drive on.
Ditto.
Too lazy to drive? Call an UBER/LYFT. Don’t expect the car to do it for you.
My city, in its infinite wisdom has unleashed a fleet of “fully automated” public transport vehicles on the downtown streets......but there is always an operator behind the wheel “just in case”......doesn’t sound like the manufacturer trusts there own design and tech too much does it?
One of ‘em has already lost control and hit a street light before the human could gain control.
This town can piss away money on boondoggles like nobody’s business. SMH
It’s very difficult for most people to remain fully aware and alert when they’re not directly involved with a process. If I’m supposed to be responsible for what the vehicle does, then I’m going to be in control of it too.
