Yup. I forgot but that was in the documentary as well. Noonan liked his liquor.
They might find some of her intimate apparel in J. Edgar’s old closet.
When I was first assigned to Ft. Riley, KS, I found out all the troop units and motor pools were on a part of the base called, "Custer Hill." I had had similar thoughts...why would we want to work, train and live in an area named after somebody who was best known for getting a bunch of American soldiers scalped and killed.
Look…squirrel!!!
yes Fred Noonan was a drunk. but AE could not find another nav to fly with her on the flight
People forget that aviation was still fairly new at the time and qualified navigators were in short supply. Noonan was a fairly decent navigator when he was sober.
the original flight was to leave from Oakland ca and flight west to hawaii, but she crashed on take off and the plane had to be trucked back to lockheed in burbank to be repaired.
MY dad told me a family story as AE plan crashed in 1036, and as happened my grandfather and great grandfather both worked at lockjheed at the time.. and my dad and his older sister got to take a flight with AE I called BS on him. turned out that yes he did, and was told to never repeat anything that came out of her mouth as she cused like a longshoreman..
and that i went to the school library and took as many books they had on her..
true, 1930’s aviation was still in its infancy.
Look!
Over there - squirrel!
Wow. Interesting! Maybe all this evidence being made public is a good thing. Having fact over fiction is always better.
Trump posted about it himself on Truth Social.
crap that should be 1936 not 1036..
thanks like i said i call BS on my old man, but it was true, he was 8 and my aunt was 14...
