The ACA is just free money for insurance companies, granted with a messy over-regulated process, but very profitable none the less.
A Bronze care plan for one person runs $1800 per month. What does that cover? It covers well care and routine checkups. It has a $13,000 deductible, no RX coverage, and not everyone takes it.
We had to buy it for my wife to avoid not being insured (penalty). We carried it for two years. I'm so glad we're through with it in December.
The only possible benefit is negotiated provider fees for defined services, but we found you can negotiate that stuff on your own. Remember, you're on the hook for $1800 a month, plus the co-pays or coinsurance. One urgent care visit ordered by your primary care physician for a few hours can easily land you a $5,000 bill and all you got was an IV, a chest x-ray, and a flu test. We came to the providers business office and worked it down to $1600.
Very few people understand the system and how it's rigged.
The government should not be involved in health care.

The system is desperate need of reform to bring market forces back into healthcare.
And don’t forget, thanks to IRMAA, if you dare to have too much income, your Medicare premiums go even higher!
That is the way I view it.
Government involvement in health care, retirement, subsidies of any sort is communist and anti-American.
People who expect their fellow man to pay their way have been drawn into a communist world view and are destroying our Republic.
Get rid of healthcare. Make everyone pay cash. You’ll see heathcare come crashing down in price.
