This home is locked, loaded — and listed.

Luxury homes often come with pools, spas or screening rooms. This $8.95 million estate in Warren Township, New Jersey, comes with all of that — and a 75-foot indoor shooting range.

The 26-room residence at 4 Mason Hill, completed in 2020 on a 7-acre parcel, was custom-built by its current owners, who are now relocating out of state, according to NJ.com.

Designed by architect Jeffrey A. Beer, the 11,000-square-foot home combines contemporary architecture with resort-style amenities, from dual outdoor kitchens to a multimillion-dollar movie theater. But it’s that one quirky amenity that really makes a bang.

“The idea for the indoor shooting lane came directly from the sellers,” said listing agent Cristian Perez of Serhant New Jersey.

“They are avid shooters and felt there could be no greater convenience than being able to enjoy their sport in the comfort of their own home.”

The firing range is soundproof and equipped with specialized ventilation to handle lead discharge.

Sounds like a cool house, except for the “located in New Joisey” part.

Can I shoot on my property in NJ?
AI Overview
+5
No*, you generally cannot shoot on your private property in New Jersey, as it is largely prohibited by state and local laws; however, you may be able to use a firearm for self-defense under specific circumstances outlined by New Jersey’s use-of-force laws.

*Unless you are rich and/or have political suck, in that laws are for the little people.
>zoning variance, or special use permit?
No. Not to break the law.

75 feet? Most shooters would say 25 yards. That's consistent with how the targets are sold at retail.

I’d be impressed with a 250 yard indoor range.

All homes have an indoor firing range. Range length and the ability to use it may vary.

>>I’d be impressed with…

Owner/seller had 7 acres; he could have buried 250 yards of five foot square concrete, water sealed casing from his underground shooting station.

Though 250 yards would be a chore to clean out his bullet trap every few years.
