Makes me remember a conversation I had once.

I worked with a Black Muslim for a few weeks. He told me that the white race was created by a renegade black scientist. They use to teach that. And, he said, Africa was a perfectly peaceful world until the white man brought war to them.

Sir Francis Crick, co-discover of DNA, believed (correctly IMHO) that DNA is so complex that it could not have just happened by accident (evolution). It was designed. But of course it wasn’t God who designed it, but aliens that put the code into spacecraft and then sent them out into the universe (a process he called pansperma) in the hopes of finding someplace where they would land and grow, thus preserving the alien race (on a dying planet??).

IE, not only not owning slaves, but legit against slavery before the civil war?

Probably the same "scientists" who endorsed the global climate change scam. There is no official designation of what qualifications you have to have to become a "scientist." A lot of them have PhDs. But this means very little these days. You could have a PhD in gender studies and call yourself a scientist. or just a head full of dumb ideas that you believe because:
