Rapper Bad Bunny responded to the backlash surrounding the NFL’s decision to book him for this year’s Super Bowl Halftime show as he kicked off the 51st season of “Saturday Night Live.”
The 31-year-old Puerto Rican native, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, said he was “excited” to be named the headlining act for the big game at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara in February, but urged critics they have “four months to learn” Spanish.
“I’m really excited to be doing the Super Bowl, I know that people all around the world who love my music are also happy,” Bad Bunny said during Saturday’s monologue.
The rapper broke out his native tongue for a 30-second message before he sent a message to his critics.
“Especially all of the Latinos and Latinas in the world here in the United States who have worked to open doors,” he said in Spanish. “It’s more than a win for myself, it’s a win for all of us. Our footprints and our contribution in this country, no one will ever be able to take that away or erase it.”

NFL is as low as it can get.
Bad Bunny? El hombre mucho loco!
Just stop watching the NFL for a couple of years and things will correct themselves.
Otherwise, you are endorsing the woke league and they will keep doing their best to undermine America
Right?
Like I’m going to watch some cross-dressing Spanish-only-speaking faggot?
Heck, I won’t watch the whole thing. Done with the NFL at least since Kaepernick.
I hope there are enough MAGAs in the Super Bowl audience to boo this clown down.
No one talks about how all these foreigners have the easy choice of learning American English as a second language. We on the other hand have no such easy solution.

Probably not. But it really won't matter to many of the fans...they'll fall apart if they can't have their football. One would have thought that the kneeling fiasco would have sorted them out, but there apparently wasn't enough pain felt.
**I don’t know. Football is like a religion to people.**
It was almost that for me 43 ago. Then my wife and I decided that we didn’t want our 2 year old watching the tube when primetime ads for soap operas showed angry people (one showing a guy ‘choking’ a woman). Pitched the tube.
Had a lot more time to do things with it gone. We also became much less programmed.
I think I learned right here on FR about NIL in college sports about 2 years after that system was instituted
