‘No Trump, no vote’ — where will MAGA purists go in 2028?
The Hill ^

Like it or not — like him or not — Trump truly is a “once in a century” personality. He has that elusive “it factor” that can’t be faked, imitated or bought. You either have it, or you don’t. Trump has it in spades, and he’s come into the last three elections with tens of millions of guaranteed votes in his back pocket.

I don’t believe this story at all.
JD Vance is the best public speaker and debate participant I have ever seen or heard.
He will win over more people than even Trump did with his ability to clearly communicate and stay on message.

The media didn’t create Trump so the media cannot tear him down. The LSM keeps forgetting Trump was a television icon with The Apprentice, a show that dominated the airwaves for reality TV.

So is MAGA personality or principles and policies? If the latter, backers have already been conditioned for disappointment, though the hardcore excuse it away.

I can’t argue with anything you said, you are correct—with one important caveat. The changing demographics are just not in the favor of the Republicans.

The changing demographics are just not in the favor of the Republicans.

Everyone said that. But Trump improved his performance with minorities in '24 compared to '16. At the same time, he lost support from wealthy whites living in suburbs and cities.

Trump may need to go more pedal-to-the-metal in the next 3 years. The pendulum swings both ways and results will have to be definite. No telling which way the economy swings. The rats are better at taking advantage of a crisis that can come along at any time-even the small ones.

I don’t believe this story at all.

The Legacy Media often try to portray successul conservatives/MAGA as winning on personality rather than issues. They used to portray Reagan's success on his "likable grandfather" image.

Tulsi Gabbard.

She’s less Deep State than another Yale boy like Vance whose first political instinct was to play the Nazi/Hilter card on Trump.

First political instincts matter.

Vance’s was to go with the Deep State neocon wing of the uniparty.

Yale gave us the Clintons, the Bushes named George, and Frenchy Kerry.

Yale is the Deep State toolmaker.

Vance a high energy Jeb 2.0 although Jeb 1.0 didn’t go through the Yale finishing process nor did he make his bones in the greatest snake pit on planet Earth, the United Elites Senate.

If JD stays true to the course he is currently on he will make a good President. We’ll see how it goes. Right now I’m concerned with right now.

Sorry...such nonsense. You have seen JD all this time and you think he is a Bush RINO??!

You have fallen from the list of people to pay attention to.

A small thing made me decide for Donald Trump. Before that happened I thought he was just a showboat.
During the 2016 gop debates, Ben Carson missed his introduction cue, you could tell he was embarrassed off stage right. This was all on televised handheld camera.
JEB! (standing on tip toes to be the Biggest Boy) and maybe it was Cruz walked by, JEB! was smirking.
Trump stopped, chatted Ben up, squeezed his shoulder. Left Ben smiling.
Little things can mean a lot.

Yep. MAGA is much more and much bigger than Trump.

JDV 2028/2032. All kinds of good MAGA choices after that.

No mention of JD Vance.

Don’t worry your little heads, the hill. Vance has the “it” factor in spades, too.

And Vance being a Marine certainly won’t hurt.

Hypothetically spit-balling here: Suppose Vance wins in 2028. Is he likely to keep some of the current Cabinet? For example, Pete Hegseth has done some remarkable things regarding the military. Personally, I’d like to see him stay on in his position.
