California is a poorly run state that is so expensive to live in that many middle class people are fleeing.
However that/those pictures are misleading. California/Los Angeles is a giant place and it is easy to cherry pick a few pictures to make it look bad.
I guarantee you that is not what 99% of the place looks like.

Yesterday I ordered from my place in California an item for my sister in Minnesota. It was delivered the next day. On Saturday I ordered a bottle of shampoo and it will be delivered on Sunday. I have ordered items that have been delivered the same day.
