It’s fair to say that the NFL is a ratings juggernaut whose management is beyond caring about boycott threats. It’s survived so many already.
I can’t wait to NOT watch a halftime show for about the 30th year in a row.
:)
This is a great opportunity for conservative bands to put on an alternative halftime show. Lease out a stadium give away tickets and put on a show with conservative values on youtube or some other streaming channel during the Superbowl’s halftime show. Deprive them of eyeballs. Or just don’t watch the game and boycott its sponsors.
I liked the Rolling Stones in the 2006 Half time show, but that’s about it.
NFL has no intention of winning conservatives. Why should they. Idiot day drinking American football fans didn’t walk out on the kneeling
Did these slobs pledge allegiance to the flag ever? Or not?
They care about nothing valuable. They’re a scourge.
I hope he gets booed off the stage. What a joke!
I liked the Paul McCartney one in 2005.
Oh yes! I forgot that.
We used to look forward to the half time shows, back in the day.
Now it’s a good time to line up at the porta-potty.
I guess I’m just old fashioned.
“I hope he gets booed off the stage.”
They’ll pipe in fake “cheering”, or block out the sound of the crowd so viewers doing hear any booing. They do that on TV all the time.
an intentional FU to Christians
love the sport, but NFL can GTH
I knew the headline was false when I read “win back conservatives”. The NFL doesn’t give a damn about conservatives.
Yeah, the NFL can do just about anything they want and not get punished severely. Heck, we have NFL talk on Free Republic. Most people, many of them conservatives, refuse to give up the NFL. I see that here in Central Texas.
The two SB halftime shows that always impressed me. One had Stevie Wonder actually dancing on a makeshift staircase and I said, "I think every plaintiff's attorney in America got an instant hard-on watching that."
The other was Prince playing an electric guitar in a rain storm in Miami. I gained a lot of respect watching him do that. I think around that time is when the NFL switched to roofed stadiums for their Super Bowl venues.
Awesome...they USED to be highly anticipated and great performances.
BTW...was the rain purple?
Or they are working for an international audience? But since the ball they play with is oddly shaped i expect the rest of the sport to match.
This one’s an over the top F’ you to Trump and the conservative right. Roger Goodell is a total ass**** for allowing this and only due to his own extreme TDS.
I bet the monkey pox is driving Goodell crazy.
