Here she is, speaking at a MLK Day event in 2023:
“(We need) to see one another as human beings who suffer together, bleed the same blood, and, in the end, just want love and to be seen, heard, and cared for,” Perkins said. “It takes one person to start a chain reaction and that can be all of us.”

You better hope he does.
I wonder if she understands the term ‘cognitive dissonance’...
then these parents should and must make this woman’s life uncomfortable and miserable...
“Judge not, lest ye be judged” means don’t condemn others hypocritically, because the same harshness you apply will be used against you. Instead of a self-righteous, judgmental attitude, the saying encourages humility, self-reflection, and a focus on your own faults before evaluating others. It’s a call to offer divine mercy rather than condemnation and to “take the log out of your own eye” before you criticize a “speck” in someone else’s.
I’m sure God was listening.

As as they're black, right, you tub of lard?
Whitey can just shoot each other.
Another fat, black woman running her mouth.
Firing a black woman is no doubt scary for them. So, it's either that or condone a school employee who supports school shootings. Tough call...
First sentence of article, “right wing activist”. No bias there.
My driving teacher in high school was an alcoholic who drank while teaching us the laws of the road. The school couldn’t fire him, either.
Teacher tenure is a real problem!
And no, it is not a violation of free speech rights to hold a teacher to the standard that they cannot celebrate violence and assassination. Many companies have policies about what employees can post on social media, so why should schools be any different? I would not want my child to be taught by a violence-loving racist!

She should step away from the buffet table before they try to roll her back into the ocean...
OK, free speech, whatever. But wouldn’t a “morality clause” kick in?
Yo coach so fat she have to weigh herself on the Richter scale.
I beg to differ with the school. The US Supreme Court has ruled that government employee speech isn’t necessarily protected. The court developed The Pickering–Connick test, which balances a public employee’s free speech rights against the government’s need for efficient operations.
1. Public Concern (Connick): Speech is only protected if it addresses a matter of public concern (e.g., corruption, policy, misuse of funds). Purely personal workplace gripes are not protected.
2. Balancing (Pickering): If it is public concern, courts weigh the employee’s right to speak as a citizen against the employer’s interest in maintaining discipline, harmony, and effective service.
Bottom line: Protected if the public value of the speech outweighs workplace disruption. Not protected if it’s just a personal complaint or if it seriously undermines the employer’s mission.
And yes, the Connick in the case is Harry Connick, Sr. Father to the famous singer. Jr’s dad was DA in New Orleans Parrish back in the 70s.
