Unlike in the 2020 Peaceful Protests, this time the protesters need to be fully investigated before they are released on bond.
First thing to investigate is the Smartphone of the protester to see who they are in contact with. That can be done without a search warrant.
Next thing is to get a search warrant to open up their smartphone and other computer devices to see what the protestor is saying via texts and emails and/or searching for stuff on Google.
A lot of these stories makes it seem that once you drive into Portland it’s a war zone.
My experience with a couple of national stories is that the action takes place in a block or two, and the rest of the community is moving along just fine.
Can someone from Portland let us know if the “action” is localized or wide spread?
