Vance: It is ‘clearly time’ for Russia to ‘talk seriously’ about peace

Vice President JD Vance on Sunday attributed President Donald Trump’s recent change in attitude toward the Russian-Ukrainian war to the loss of human life and the impact to Russia’s economy.

“The Russian economy is in shambles. The Russians are not gaining much on the battlefield. It’s clearly time for them to listen to his passionate plea for them to come to the table and actually talk seriously about peace,” Vance said in an interview with Fox News’ Martha MacCallum that aired on “Fox News Sunday.”

“I think what has changed is the reality on the ground, with the Russians killing a lot of people and losing a lot of people and they don’t have much to show for it,” he added.

“What we have seen over the last couple weeks, the Russians have refused to sit down with any bilateral meetings with Ukrainians. They have refused to sit down with any trilateral meetings,” Vance said. “A lot of people are dying and they don’t have a lot to show for it. How many more people are they willing to lose? How many people are they willing to kill for very little, if any, gain in the military advantage on the ground there?”

Vance on Sunday stopped short of saying he would support sending Tomahawk long-range missiles to Ukraine, which Zelenskyy reportedly asked Trump for during their meeting at the United Nations.

Russia has been the side talking seriously. It's Ukraine and the EU that refuse to.

Trump worked out a peace deal with Putin that both rejected.

You're neo-Nazi buddies in Ukraine aren't getting territory back, Marcus.

Vance: It is ‘clearly time’ for Russia to ‘talk seriously’ about peace

Its clearly time for the historically unaware and naive Vance to get a clue: Putin does not want peace; peace to him is a weakness to be squashed by brute force.

Jump on the Trump-Vance train.

“I'm not calling anyone a "paper tiger," but Russia has spent millions and millions of dollars on bombs, missiles, ammunition, and lives. Their lives. And they've gained virtually no territory. I think it's time to stop. I really do. I am very disappointed in Putin. And he fought hard, fought long, and they lost millions, about a million soldiers. And you know, after all this heavy bombing over the last two weeks, they've gained almost no territory. Just think about it. They've gained almost no territory.“

Unfortunately, Putin is not thinking rationally at this point (if he ever was). He seems content to have a permanent war.

It was said that he was motivated to attack Ukraine because of the possibility that they were going to join NATO. Trump’s peace plan, that he had no interest in, included no NATO membership for Ukraine.

---- "Get on the Trump-Vance train, Ivan."

Hey, Happy, that was what you sent to me. Can't you try to be a little more creative? Like Yevgeny? Or Sergey?

Or names like some of those running YouTube channels, like Denis which was a Methodist favorite. Or Konstantin who showed how to make a million dollars in Uzbekistan. Or Andrei? Oh wait that's both Ukrainian and Russian. How about Volodymyr, which is another spelling of Vladimir? And both are just Anglicization, because Cyrillic is another alphabet. Oh wait....

After all, another comment "honors" our Vice President Vance with "time for the historically unaware and naive Vance to get a clue." Rather like Anne Applebaum (Mrs. Radosław Sikorski) calling President Trump "older and more deranged" and "sounding like Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini."

Maybe, after comment # 4, you should ask PIF to get on "the Trump-Vance train?"

Russia has been the side talking seriously

Yup, Russia has been seriously demanding Ukraine's surrender.

Even Vance, no fan of Ukraine, has said Russia is asking for too much.

Last I heard France and England is negotiating with the IMF for a bail out….and every sector of Ukraine’s financial and economic sector has flatlined, not generating one dime of revenue….and the EU still keeps financing them while they spending everything on aliens and social programs.

That said, Vlad continues to generate $$$ billions in energy , metals and commodities.

Every day Ukraine and the EU goes deeper into insolvency…our leaders really need to study Russian attritional warfare- in both the military and economic sectors.

Vlad ( and the Russian people) will simply never give up his ethnic Russian provinces-ever. Any negotiations can only start with that fact….until then, it will be decided on the battlefield.

You still don’t get it, Russia will endure anything and everything the West may do to them….including nuclear options….proven over and over and over again.

The West simply has no stomach for attrition. Ivan will eat shoe leather with gusto until the enemy is conquered.

Both have flip flopped, back and forth….from “Ukraine has no cards” to Ukraine can now win with the EU’s help.

Which is it?

Ukraine just knocked out the thermal power plant in Belgorod this morning. And it’s snowing and below freezing already in the craphole Russian territories and people are already freezing to death in their cars waiting in line for non-existent gasoline.
