PM takes aim at 'toxic' Reform as he arrives for Labour conference

The prime minister has warned Reform UK "will tear this country apart" ahead of the Labour party conference.

Arriving in Liverpool on Saturday, Sir Keir Starmer said Reform's plans to abolish indefinite leave to remain (ILR) for legal migrants was one of "the most shocking things" Nigel Farage's party had said.

Sir Keir said the conference would be an opportunity to show Labour's alternative to the "toxic divide and decline" offered by Reform.

He is under pressure after opinion polls show Labour trailing Reform UK, alongside speculation Great Manchester mayor Andy Burnham could mount a leadership challenge.

Farage told the Telegraph, Sir Keir's language "smacks, frankly, of total desperation" after the prime minister referred to Reform as an "enemy" in an interview with the Guardian.

"To call somebody in politics an enemy is language that is bordering on the inciteful," he added.

Toxic in the sense that chemotherapy is toxic. Painful, yes. And it may be coming too late to save the UK. But it is necessary for survival.

They’re going to try to “ban” them, like Germany did with AfD.

They’re spreading “misinformation” and “hate.”

Here we some of Starmer’s supporters. They will certainly agree with his statements about Reform.

Be funny if they were actually Farage supporters.

They are a threat, bot because they are toxic, but because they have the better message that Brits are yearning for, since they are now treated as deplorables, with the interlopers commanding more respect than they receive.

Brexit is going to be Britons fleeing the islands.

Time to start polishing up that Statue of Liberty.

Just make sure it is the Statue of Liberty, not the Statue of Dependency. I’m tired of the huddled masses yearning to live for free on my dime.

“Toxic” is the Left’s current “cool word”. Reminds me of high school, where every year some word emerged as the current cool word. The meaning was lost, but we used it as whenever we could because it showed we were part of the cool crowd.

Well, I was going to say something about them learning:

1) The English System of Weights and Measures.

2) 12 eggs comprise a Dozen, not 10.

3) “Oi” is not a word.

But, I kept it brief.

I will say that WE control the largesse of our system. Limited government is only that if we want to limit it.

"Starmer is not a very bright man"

This may be the understatement of the year. The Labour Party won the general election in Britain on July 4, 2024. I watched Starmer's victory speech and had the same reaction. Not too bright.

Here is a link to it. This is nine minutes, 48 seconds long. You only need to sit through the beginning to get an idea of how shallow and vacuous this man is.

Sir Keir Starmer Election Victory Speech, July 4, 2024

What makes it more telling now, is how badly things have gotten screwed up since Labour took over 15 months ago.
