I think we get less severe weather than NKY. Also, my RE taxes are virtually non-existent (less than $400 a year for a home, large new shop building, and 32 spectacular acres).

BTW, my daughter moved here five years ago. They moved to an area called CrestWood, NE of Louisville. Much nicer place. The one thing we DO miss is being close to a Costco. But we just plan our trips there more carefully now.
