What I expect will happen within the next 48 hours, true to that little Kremlin turd’s nature, is in response he will start a massive bombing campaign on Ukraine targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure.

Trump has switched sides again? When did that happen?

Putin will never give up the eastern territory he’s already taken unless someone, in or outside of Russia, manages to take him out. The slaughter could continue indefinitely.

Given the mass of resources Putin put into the invasion, and the years of covert and subversive intelligence he had and has on institutions and enterprises in Ukraine, Putin should have “won” in a minimum of a few months. He has done widespread damage with bombs drones and missiles across Ukraine while with unimaginable tenacity Ukraine has held on, checking Putin’s advance.

Reminds me of another small nation that hung on in spite of years of pounding by a superpower, making the superpower sue for peace just so it could walk away.

Sometimes I think just being an invader presents a disadvantage, because psychologically the battle presents an existential issue with the defenders but not so the invader. Faced with an existential loss the defender will fight harder than the invader.

That is why Putin’s defenders here have represented a Kremlin instigated cheering squad to convince Ukraine and or its friends to just give in - to make it easier for Putin.

You missed the point of his post. He’s saying that if all the propaganda distributed by Ukraine and NATO is true, then they are all set and the US doesn’t need to intervene any longer. He says the US will continue to sell weapons to NATO which can do whatever they want with it (it’s not positioned as Ukraine aid).

Since NATO is terrified of Russia, now that the US won’t fight their proxy war, I doubt Ukraine will be getting the new equipment the US is selling to NATO, especially as Ukraine is too exhausted to continue this fight much longer.

President Trump is saying it’s up to NATO now so it sounds like the US will not continue to supply Ukraine with 40+ billion annually to prop up the functioning of their government or the 1+ billion Zelensky requested for more weapons!

It seems Trump has decided to enable Ukraine (with Europe picking up the tab) rather than restrain them, since Russia clearly doesn’t want peace. Should he decide to apply serious economic pressure on Moscow, he could sell them a couple hundred JASSMs, including some JASSM-ERs for more distant refineries, infrastructure and factories. In addition to the thousands of ERAMs he already announced, they could prove quite effective “sanctions” on Russia’s economy. And a small boost to ours.

Th key phrase here is "with the support of the European Union and NATO".

It is probably more likely that Ukraine will receive the support of the Klingon Empire.

1. US will not fund the war but turn it into a profit center.
2. Putin isn’t cooperating with peace efforts, sabre rattling instead.
3. Ukraine MAY be able to harm the Russian economy enough to bring it to the table.

Wanna bet on that, Marcus?

How much that Ukraine doesn't get any territory back in the next year?

One problem with this claim. What troops are Zelensky use to take back this land. Remember how the last Ukrainian offensive turned out?

They can do whatever they want, as long as it isn’t with my taxpayer money, weapons that US taxpayers paid for, or American lives. Knock yourselves out Ukraine.
