I nearly parted with a sibling over the clot shot fiasco.
Sorry to hear that. Both my sons got the clot shots. Neither lived near me at the time. I didn't find out until after the fact. My youngest son had Stage 3 colon cancer in 2019, then six months of chemo. He got the shots because he was concerned his immune system was compromised because of the chemo, but also because they took about 70 lymph nodes during the surgery. I never said anything to either of them. The oldest was in his mid-50's at the time. My youngest was 48 at the time he was diagnosed with the cancer.
The rest of my family had passed by 2015, so there were no conflicts regarding the shots. I didn't get them. I was diagnosed twice with Covid within a six month period, after having mandatory testing prior to medical procedures, but I had no symptoms whatsoever.
One of the main reasons I never got the shots when they came out, was because they didn't even have an accurate test for Covid at the time, so why would I take a shot for it?
I lost a life long friend over Covid and the shot. We were always 180 degrees apart politically, but we never let it get in the way too much. The breaking point for my friend was Covid and my scoffing at the vaccine etc.

Same here, but it was my wife and her family. The only reason why I took the jab was because I needed surgery.
