uns a commune in Texas with ‘no men and no drama’ (Picture: Robyn Yerian / SWNS)
Twelve small homes sit upon acres of manicured lawn in the Texas countryside.
Under the warm sun, the residents that call this gated community home live a rather idyllic life: there’s a fit pit, yoga, book club and a swimming pool.
It’s peaceful and supportive. And for those that want to live here there are two simple rules: no men, and no drama.
The Bird’s Nest is a five-acre women-only commune, and the brainchild of 70-year-old Robyn Yerian.

I live on 400 acres by myself. Yeah, no drama. Life is good.
I’ve also lived on a offshore 125 to 200 man commune of working on an offshore drilling rig. Drama is usually at a minimum depending on the management.
Hey whatever floats ya boat, toots.
Who’s doing the lawn work? The same men who did the dirt work, got water and electricity to the site, and built all the tiny houses and trailers they live in of course.... oh, and those men built the pool too.
And that looks like that’s the secret to their success. 60-80. Menopause is over. Older women that choose a place like that generally don’t want any drama, period. That 30 something may cause some trouble though.
I wonder how she gets around the Fair Housing Act.
Does anyone care about these virtue signalling maladjusted delusional women?
It is a freaking RV and tiny home trailer park! Far from Idyllic.
Power to them.
All women and no drama? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I doubt there are any men complaining about this arrangement.
I remember a 50 year high school reunion. The men were all okay with each other, even those that got in fist fights back in high school and could not even remember why. We laughed about it and had another drink together and laughed some more. The women not so much. They can hate a long time!
I would check the large surrounding countryside for the remains of any previous Drama Queens.*
Saying there is no drama is like Chicago authorities stating crime is down.
*-I understand Steven King will film his next miniseries at this commune. Possible titles for the new miniseries are:
The End Of Drama
Drama No More
A Dramatic End To Drama
I think you just broke the internet and have put our life in danger. LOL
I'm a guy and I thrive on drama and trying to fix it. I delight in the company of superb women who are comfortable in their own skins, the most important being my wife and daughters and then women who are family friends, workmates etc. Fitting into society and keeping a community focused outlook for most of us will mean we'll never have to resort to herding ourselves into a same sex sheltered workshop. But then, they'd say it's living with intention for them. Kumbaya!
Sounds like wishful thinking on the part of the residents-I’m a woman, and that place sounds like my idea of hell on earth-you could not pay me to live there...
I don’t like most women-they are untrustworthy, intolerant drama queens, prone to lying and even violence to get their way both at work and in personal relationships. I have gotten along best with males from an early age-my only sibling is male, my friends have always been mostly male-my best friend of 20 years is male-he is also my co-worker in our 2 person business. I do have one female friend-his sister, who does not like most women, either...
If I had a large income, I’d buy some acreage here and start a co-op only for myself and 8-10 working/middle-class folks who want to be self-sustaining, live off-grid if they choose, own home-based businesses, and raise livestock and gardens for personal use and for sale/barter with others. No manicured lawns of grass native to Florida, etc-only native vegetation that has low water requirements, no water-wasting swimming pools, have rain capture systems in addition to a communal well. No amateurs-they would need to know how to live in the country, know basic gardening and animal husbandry, hunting, etc already. Sounds a lot more like a pleasant, drama free place to me...
The only way to have no drama is lots of drugs.
A misogynist is someone who hates women almost as much as women hate each other.
Ten bucks there's not a real Texan man around who would want to apply to be a renter there. So no standing to make a complaint.
Some women like yard work. I do, to an extent. I cannot keep up due to arthritis and age. My husband won’t do yard work except to mow on the rider
Maybe they hire a lawn care service.
First thought is that the set-up violates federal and state housing discrimination laws.
