uns a commune in Texas with ‘no men and no drama’ (Picture: Robyn Yerian / SWNS)
Twelve small homes sit upon acres of manicured lawn in the Texas countryside.
Under the warm sun, the residents that call this gated community home live a rather idyllic life: there’s a fit pit, yoga, book club and a swimming pool.
It’s peaceful and supportive. And for those that want to live here there are two simple rules: no men, and no drama.
The Bird’s Nest is a five-acre women-only commune, and the brainchild of 70-year-old Robyn Yerian.

My wife worked in an office for 18 years with 25 women, and the company was owned by 2 women.......it was nothing BUT drama.

One of ‘em would take a dump in the toilet and not flush.
There was some new drama every week without fail.
When these women watch a (man hating) Oxygen or WE channel show.....Who are they going to have an “episode” and hit in the face if there is not a man around? This is from years of personal experience, unfortunately.
So, sex discrimination is okay?
I thought women wanted equality.
I thought they wanted to be treated just like men.
So how come no one is suing this place?
Female friendships are enduring and powerful. The happiest, most fulfilled women I know - married or unmarried - have strong female friendships.
Petty drama seems to arise when men are in the picture(?) Because intellectual and personal growth gets sacrificed at the altar of seeking male attention andn the male gaze. A sense of competition is heightened in general because the pf the sense of opportunity being limited as many key positions women would want to aspire for will now be held by men/boys.
Disclaimer: I attended an all girls school during my formative years and loved it.
Good for them.
Another thought....are those who identify as women allowed? Asking for our general knowledge.
Cut off that Thorazine feeder from the well house and its ladies riot night.
Yeap, a grindhouse horror movie with nonstop drama.
I wonder if the monthly HOA meeting will have a live camera feed? That would be a must watch drama brawl fest.
And no lying either right?
“”””Most of the women who live on her land are now aged between 60 and 80, with the exception of one 33-year-old””””
“”””Since she welcomed her first tenants three years ago, 12 women have lived at The Bird’s Nest.””””
I guess we will all just have to adjust to the loss.
All women no Drama? Holy smokes what a load of BS.
The feeling is mutual to this hag.
Who do they call when they have any electrical or plumbing problems at the commune?
Female trailer trash, so it seems

A sense of competition is heightened in general. Upward mobility is limited because the key positions women would want to aspire for will be held by men, sometimes due to expectation and precedent alone, than by merit.

It takes about five minutes for a group of men to figure out who is who, and who is in charge.
The drama happens when you introduce women.
Viva la drama.
