An Easton Area High School nurse has been asked to stay home from work and now faces death threats after making a controversial comment about Charlie Kirk‘s death, according to a supporter of the nurse.
Meanwhile, opponents of nurse Kelly Keegan are planning a rally Thursday night calling for her resignation from Northampton County Council. It will be council’s first meeting since Keegan, of Forks Township, allegedly made the comment in a social media post.
Keegan allegedly posted on Facebook after Kirk’s shooting death, calling him a “monster” and saying his wife and children are better off without him.
The comment isn’t currently on Keegan’s personal or election Facebook pages, but screenshots of the comment continue to be circulated by her opponents. It’s unclear how long the comment was visible before it was removed. Keegan hasn’t responded to requests for comment.
Her opponents say the comment is insensitive, condones murder and indicates the 55-year-old is unfit to serve as a high school nurse or as a Northampton County councilwoman.
April Gabriel-Ferretti says Keegan is suffering unfair backlash for speaking her mind. Gabriel-Ferretti is a Nazareth-area LGBTQ+ advocate who has organized Pride Day celebrations.
She posted on Facebook on Thursday, asking folks to reach out to Easton Area School Board members and demand that Keegan be allowed to keep her job.

You didn’t even read the post? It’s in there. This is part of the problem with America. Short term attention span and people just reading headlines.
So, if I say homosexuals or lesbians families are better off without them, would this LGBTQ+ advocate want me banned or lose my job?
I call BS on the threats. That the same old PR lie the Left always uses when caught by the public engaging in their violent hate filled PR smears.
Receipts or they didn’t happen. Any conservative in the public eye can produce a thick file of the most vile threats. My guess is this lady received a lot of “by your logic…” comments.
I think most have never watched him and would be very surprised.
First off, she is not getting death threats. That is their go to for anytime they get caught. It is simply BS.
Charlie Kirk was murdered but her feeling matter more. Expect to keep seeing these puff “woe is me” stories.
They are trying to cover up their evil by claiming that we are the bad ones. Not falling for it.
And sent to the unemployment line.
