Just some amazing video of a road trip taken by a family almost 80 years ago. Color.

I would venture to guess most are gone now. Time rolls on. Life on this earth is short. Here a family enjoys a vacation, their time came and is gone.

Did they stop and see all the plight in St. Louis?

A comment under this video......

“The person who filmed this is a hero. Many thanks for sharing this!”

I get what they are saying. Spiritual people are interested in those that came before us.

I don’t know if the plight was that bad back then. But dang, everybody is lean and looking good. Lean....

I notice you don’t see as many overweight people in old films. And you could pretty much tell the boys and girls apart back then.

And now younger generations will see this and some will ask, 'Why can't it be this way now?'

I hope they give it some thought.

I remember this happening. It used to be people would take slides or videos of scenery on their car vacation and narrate and show it to family and friends when they got back. Some enjoyed the show, others felt trapped. I remember one of my parents friends coming over unannounced with slides and projectors for a show. My parents were not happy.

Now people send a bunch of texts with a lot more selfies.

We have become freaks.......and the demons are ruling. They stopped by Kay Finch Ceramics in the video. I had to look it up....Kay Finch made Ceramics from the late 30s or early 40s for decades. Corona Del Mar California. It’s at the 26:13 mark in the video. Pretty cool......those that came before us. In their prime....now gone.

Me too. I think Charlie Kirk helped a lot.

Yeah, my dad had those little color slides you could put in a little thingie and see the pictures. He took lots of pictures....people who take pictures are spiritual.

All home movies since then have been labeled “Road Trip From California.”

Family slide shows were the most fun thing our family did together back when we were still kids. Mom would hang up a white sheet and dad would set up the projector. We would hoot and holler and laugh at funny expressions and make jokes at each others photo mishaps.

One in particular I remember is when I had set up my camera with a timer and tried to take a serious picture of me and my brother standing together. It did a good job capturing our serious selves, but it also caught my dad in the background walking away from the camera carrying two big sacks of garbage.

Yeah, my dad’s little “projector” was hand held. I remember it.
