Former Secretary of State and US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has expressed her concern over the reaction of American leaders following the murder of conservative figure Charlie Kirk, describing it as an "authoritarian model".
In her first television interview since the 2024 election, Clinton stressed that this event is being used to attack political opponents, emphasizing that leaders in such times should try to unite the people, but, according to her, greater divisions are occurring.

"Despite the pain and sadness that such an event causes, leaders must uphold unity and avoid deepening divisions ," she said.

Former President Bill Clinton and then-Senator Hillary Clinton both attended the memorial service for Senator Paul Wellstone in October 2002.
