The Sacramento ABC affiliate is located on Broadway in the city of Sacramento at the corner of 5th Street. Three blocks away on Broadway is a large tract of US HUD projects. Also about four blocks to the south on 5th Street is a major multi block project from the same era of the 60’s. Large brick buildings with permanent residents that fit a certain stereotypical group which I hesitate to name. The people in cars with dark tinted windows tend to drive very fast on that part of 5th Street. I drove in the area quite a bit for work over the past 2 decades.

What I am saying is that if there was any gunfire in that area it was for an entirely different reason than anything to do with Jimmy Kimmel. It was nothing more than a coincidence. Drive by’s these days don’t even elicit a patrol car unless someone is lying on the ground bleeding out. It is most likely that the bullets had completely missed their intended target.
