I thought Letterman died.
He’s been dead to me for awhile. I remember when he really seemed like a humble, earnest host on a day-time talk show he started on for NBC in the early 80’s. He was noticed for being an entertaining, just-out-of-college weatherman before that. But I think success soured him.
He did. We’ll, funny Dave did, when NBC refused to give him the Tonight Show. All that remained was the husk you see commenting right now.
