Drones armed with tasers would surely disable any rooftop crawlers.

I was curious if such a device was even available, and this is what AI had to report. I have no clue as to AIs accuracy, but here goes for what its worth:

As of September 12, 2025, Axon has not publicly launched a drone equipped with a Taser, and the company has paused its original development program for such a device. The project, initially announced in June 2022, aimed to create a remotely operated, non-lethal drone capable of deploying a Taser payload to incapacitate active shooters within 60 seconds.

However, the initiative faced significant criticism from the company's own AI ethics board, civil rights organizations like the ACLU, and government bodies, who raised concerns about the potential for misuse, mission creep, and the normalization of armed drones in public spaces.

In response to these concerns, Axon's CEO Rick Smith stated in June 2022 that the program was being paused to explore viability and public concerns, clarifying that the idea was not a product at that time.

Axon's Taser Drone Development Status

The Taser Drone project was formally announced in June 2022 as a potential solution to mass shootings, with plans to deploy a lightweight Taser payload on a small drone or robot.

The company envisioned the drone being activated by a network of cameras and sensors, potentially launched from a ceiling-mounted device in a school, and remotely piloted by an authorized human operator to incapacitate a shooter.

Despite initial plans for a functional proof of concept by 2023 and a full solution by 2024, the project was officially paused in June 2022, with Axon stating it was a long way off and required further exploration.

As of the current date, there is no evidence that the Taser Drone has progressed beyond the conceptual or paused development phase.

Axon's Shift in Drone Strategy

In May 2024, Axon acquired Dedrone, a company specializing in air security and counter-drone technology, signaling a strategic shift towards drone detection and security rather than developing weaponized drones.

This acquisition suggests Axon is focusing on the defensive and security aspects of drone technology, potentially to protect against unauthorized drones, rather than pursuing the offensive, weaponized drone concept that was previously proposed.

So, we know that cameras can be positioned that will provide a look at all access locations to a roof to surveil & alert when an incursion is taking place and the pinpoint the location(s) for rapid deployment. In addition the cameras can be high definition that can capture high quality images & videos. In addition, it can be portable, and be moved from operation site to another operation site with minimal setup.

Just a thought

><

Wait until all the Russian and Ukrainian drones hit the black market. This, coupled with the undocumented illegal invaders, will result in far fewer large outdoor events.
