same with the security footage of all the relevant buildings going back 3 months at least. This person just didn’t walk in there for the first time that day. Any footage disappeared? Any doors that were left unlocked? Clamp down, and do not let up.

The shooter might have eaten at one of them in the past few days, have been from out of town, and paid by bank card.
The bank card probably was also used to pay for a motel room.
They might have security camera footage.
A local motel room might have been rented by a person that only lived 50 to 200 miles away.

There is no mystery about the plane. Flightradar24 indicates it flew to Page, AZ and was on the ground for about 20 minutes before it returned to Provo.

There are many such places within a 45 minute flight from Provo.
