Visibly angry and upset, Donald Trump described Charlie Kirk as a martyr for truth and freedom, as he paid tribute to a man he considered to be not just a close friend, but also someone who played a significant role in his re-election and in shaping the MAGA movement.
Trump directly blamed radical left-wing politics for contributing to this atrocity and other recent violent political attacks.
He noticeably did not mention recent murders and violent attacks against Democrats.
Often atrocities like this create an atmosphere of political unity.
Many senior politicians, both Democrats and Republicans, have responded by saying this kind of violence has no place in American democracy.
But there is also a widespread, furious and febrile reaction among followers of Trump and Kirk which is demanding retribution. This feels like a dangerous moment in America.

Did I miss something, what recent murders and violent attacks against democrats were committed by Conservatives? liberal slime, whatever country they reside in always try to equivocate to to excuse their murderous brethren. What conservative Christian shot up schools and murdered children, attempted assassinations of democrat presidents or presidential candidates. What conservative Christian murdered or attempted to murder those on the left that they disagreed with?
I have to say it was just coincidence that there was someone who occupied the police at critical time just after the shot by claiming to be the shooter............coincidence? I doubt it.

That’s why MSNBC was so quick to fire Matthew Dowd. They realized that Dowd justified killing people you don’t agree with and that could lead to a MSM bloodbath.
I don’t believe politics was a prime motivator for the lunatics who attacked Pelosi and in the Minnesota case, so whatever political views they may have had did not lead to those attacks, a mental breakdown was the cause. They did not represent widespread sentiments held by the political right and they were not celebrated openly the way some leftists have celebrated attacks on conservatives.
The so-called moment of danger is probably the realization by any number of random progressives that the inevitable time of re-ordering of the political imbalances created by globalist fantasy politics is rapidly approaching. Prosperous and formerly free societies cannot tolerate the load of false assumptions made by progressives very much longer without an inevitable correction. That will be dangerous — for progressives. They created the danger for themselves by pushing envelopes too far and too fast. They believe they are invulnerable and cannot be stopped by any human agency. And they are wrong, as I believe they will soon discover.
