Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson is being widely criticized on social media for claiming he has doubts that Iran-backed Hamas was anything more than a “political organization.”
Israel has stepped up its campaign to wipe out Hamas from Gaza ever since Oct. 7, 2023, when Hamas attacked an Israeli music festival, killing at least 1,200 and taking some 250 hostages.
Recently, Israel struck Gaza’s only Catholic church, killing three people. The Israelis said they were investigating the incident, however, Carlson claimed the Israeli Defense Forces were exhibiting “self-destructive behavior” by shelling churches, whether intentionally or not.
In his latest podcast, Carlson said:
No one can possibly claim that a Christian family are in Hamas. OK, so what, tell me — You can’t claim they’re in Hamas while simultaneously claiming that Hamas is a group of jihadis. They’re Islamist extremists, which they also claim. Constantly. I don’t know if that’s true, by the way. Seems more like a political organization. But whatever it is, they’re telling us constantly that they’re Al-Qaeda. So, it can’t also be true that Christians are a member of Al-Qaeda. So, then, we know they’re not in Hamas, so why did they get killed?
Once a conservative darling, Carlson has been viewed with increasing suspicion since his termination from Fox News. He now runs his own podcast, The Tucker Carlson Show.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) expressed his frustrations with Carlson, posting to X, “Now, @TuckerCarlson doesn’t know if Hamas is a terrorist organization. (‘Elmo is just asking questions….’) What the hell happened to Tucker?? He’s turning into Ilhan Omar.”
Mark Levin, who once worked with Carlson at Fox News and isn’t a fan, took to calling his nemesis, “Qatarlson.”
“Qatarlson doesn’t know if Hamas is a terrorist group,” Levin posted.
Seth Dillon with the satirical Babylon Bee got serious when he posted, “Qatar, Iran, and Tucker Carlson say Hamas is just a political group — not a radical Islamist terrorist organization.”
Dillon’s post included the “Ideology and Goals” of Hamas that included “jihad as its path” and “‘Death for the sake of Allah’ as its highest aspiration.”
Carlson has been delightfully uninhibited in his embrace of all that is anti-American. I thought he'd peaked last year when he platformed a Nazi apologist, but like the Energizer bunny he keeps going and going and going. Pretty soon he'll be saying that Hamas is a civic improvement society.
Qatar told him to say that.
TC has gone off the rails.
My opinion of Carlson just went to zero.
I wonder what they have on him.
That worm turned rather quickly.
It’s possible this is out of conviction, i.e. Carlson’s converted to Islam. In Islam, anything a Muslim does to non-Muslims is fine, but for non-Muslims to defend themselves is unacceptable.
I guess he’s filled out his retirement portfolio and now we FINALLY get to see who he really is. Perhaps, soon, he’ll marry Greta.
The cheese has slid off of the cracker.
Tucker and Candace have both gone a little off the deep end.
Of course he’s right, but not in the way he thinks. As Erdogan said, “There is no radical Islam, there is only Islam.”
Islam by its very nature is “radical”.
Further down below zero.
He sticks with the company line.
I stopped watching Fox News and all news programs on all platforms back in 2008, so I never saw this idiot when he had his show.
Tucker (spelled, I’m advised, with a T) is correct. Hamas is an after- school knitting club for pretty little girls in Des Moines, Iowa.
It’s a movement. Terrorist group, political party, administrative apparatus, fighting force are all wrapped up into one. Hezbollah is similar. Hamas certainly has practiced terror and hasn’t renounced terrorism.

You don't want to KNOW what my opinion of him is....
But it is WAY below ZERO!!!!!
“Once a conservative darling, Carlson has been viewed with increasing suspicion since his termination from Fox News.”
Can’t agree. I never watched Tucker Carlson on Fox News, but I liked several of his interviews since he struck out on his own.
However, if he sees moral equivalence between Muslims and anybody else, then he is lost on that topic.
Mine too
He’s gotta separate himself from the rest of the conservative pack and get noticed from time to time. That’s the way it’s done. Say something your supporters can’t believe you’d say. They. won’t abandon you because they’re sheep. I saw it more than once with Savage and O’rielly. Observer beware.
