The attack comes as Russia suffers fuel shortages following Ukrainian attacks that have cut 20 percent of Russia's oil refining capacity.
Ukraine struck several Russian oil facilities overnight Friday, including one if its largest refineries and an oil depot, worsening the country’s crippling fuel shortages.
Ukrainian drones targeted facilities including Russia's largest Rosneft refinery in Ryazan and an oil depot in occupied Luhansk Oblast, according to Ukraine's chief drone warfare commander Robert Brovdi.
Images of the attack on social media that appeared to show a massive fireball erupting immediately after the strike.

And yet do you make me chuckle. but not "laugh out loud" as is your wont.
Simple math:
Innumeracy -- yours -- suggests that "two thirds" of any population can't afford a car, as in when the family is a single mother with two minor children. As is the case with Britain's now-deposed Deputy Prime Minister, who is not poor by any means except that she' s out of a cushy political job.Family of single mother and three minor children has one vehicle. Percentage 25% per capita. (1/4) That is one-quarter.
Family of two adults and two minors has two vehicles. Percentage 50% on a per capita basis. (2/4 or 1/2) That is one-half.
From the source: "Russia -- 364 per 1,000 vehicles", or about 1/3, suggesting as an example two parents with one child own one car.
From the same source: "Ukraine -- 237 per 1,000 vehicles", or about 1/4, suggesting a two parents with two children own one car.
My bride and I have two vehicles. One hundred percent. Yeah. Our lovely neighbor, a single mother with one child, has one vehicle. Fifty percent. Down the street, a married couple with four minor children ( the tiny one is adorable ) and two vehicles comes out to be the "poorest" by the LOL calculation of Маркус. One-third. Like the Russians....
Innumeracy seems quite a fine skill these days, and you are quite good at it. /sarc
Donetsk in 3 weeks!
Hmm. Let's see. Falcons are birds of prey. Buccaneers are pirates. But those wacky pirates have some male cheerleaders. The birds seem less 'inclusive.' Such a difficult choice.
Considering these factors, I choose going fishing on game day. I am sure that " Nuts " McAuliffe won't be watching or fishing. All best with a dash of humor.
Pee-yootin Blown!
Poland will come to rue the day they decided to become another NATO pawn. If this war proceeds Poland will experience at least the same damage to their country as Ukraine has if not more. Putin sees this war as existential for Russia’s survival and is willing to use tactical nukes if necessary.
Two thirds of Russians can’t afford a car. Lol!
And the other third prefer a car to an indoor toilet. In Russian countryside villages you will often see a car parked by a house with an outhouse out back.
SLOBBO URCRAYKNEE!!!!!!
In 1989, the USSR pretty much got by with little car usage, which was confined to the elite and some rural folks.
The Russian army campaign against Ukraine probably uses as much fuel as an American city of 50,000 people.
Food for 500,000 men is about 1.5 million pounds a day, or 750 tons. That’s about 750 truck loads daily. At 50 miles back and forth to a train depot on average, that’s about 20 gallons a round trip. That means about 15,000 gallons a day to feed the Russian troops fighting in Ukraine.
What about the fuel needs of Russian tanks? Near zero. They wouldn’t survive Ukrainian Javelins, so the Russian tanks generally stay parked.
“In Russian countryside villages you will often see a car parked by a house with an outhouse out back.”
Septic systems don’t function at -20 degrees Fahrenheit.
Let’s get real. If Russia attacks Poland, all of NATO, including the US, will join in. Russia cannot defeat Ukraine; it will have no chance against all of NATO. Nor are Russia’s nukes a threat since NATO has their own. Russia would not dare to actually use them. As for the war being existential for Russia’s survival, how does an independent Ukraine threaten Russia? It is Ukraine that is fighting for its survival, not Russia.
“In Russian countryside villages you will often see a car parked by a house with an outhouse out back.”
Putin hoes mad.
You don’t seem to get it yet or you’re ignoring the obvious as to where we appear to be heading. Both Europe and our deep state want war with Russia and the only thing holding this back so far has been Trump’s election. Trump is now providing the bare minimum in arms to Ukraine to keep this thing going. I’m sure in Trump’s mind he sees this as a negotiating tactic to compel Russia to a peace deal but that will only happen on Russia’s terms. Ukraine and Europe want no part off any peace deal and NATO members are preparing for war.
The ball is in Trump’s hand now and whatever transpires depends on what he decides going forward. I’m hoping Trump stops this before things go any further but who knows at this point what he will ultimately do. But seeing how intent the West is on war with Russia chances are we are headed towards world war.
Russia — 364 per 1,000 vehicles
Ukraine — 237 per 1,000 vehicles
Source: List of countries and territories by motor vehicles per capita
If you’d been a clever Маркус, you’d have led with North Korea, at 1.1 per 1,000 vehicles.
Your stat is backwards. The correct is
Russia — 364 vehicles per 1,000 people
Ukraine — 237 vehicles per 1,000 people
North Korea, at 1.1 vehicles per 1,000 people
Water does not freeze below 6 feet. That is why all water and sewer lines in northern areas are at least 6 feet deep.
Mea culpa and good catch. Another cuppa is in order. Nonetheless, a single parent with two minor children and one vehicle comes to 333 when doing the per capita thing. A married couple with two minor children comes and two vehicles to 500. The whole is a bit of a tempest in a teapot.
All best.
Isn't that a hoot? And a sadness for the little guys and gals?
“Peace By Easter”
It’s a lifestyle. It’s just normal for Russians who grew up with no indoor plumbinb.
