The Chinese will be ready to buy through their surrogates any land that becomes available.

Either that or the local power companies will turn the land into giant solar farms, poisoning the land with solar panel particles and so unfit to raise any crops ever again.

Arkansas top value crops are soybeans, rice, and cotton. None of them are picked manually. The specific problem seems low commodity rice prices.

Also, record high corn production in the Corn Belt at a time of very low corn prices will also strain farm finances.

One in three or more. (One in three) or more? One in (three or more)? I give up.

Give it to the farmers not Chicago/Illannoy politicians and their “programs”.

Re: "Commodity prices continue to plunge..."

Say what?

Prices at my two major brand grocery stores are the highest ever!

Does everyone know they all have crop insurance to cover disasters like this.

But, more govt will solve the problem. How many times are we going to fix the problem?

The current price of a bushel of corn at my local coop is $3.80, there ain’t a whole lot of money right now in the country. I don’t mind receiving an FSA check, heck, some of it my tax money.

Good point.

Especially for Freepers who want to start blaming farmers for their current grocery bill.
