I’ve driven thru there many times.
He was probably use the use the metric system on his road signs. Smh
I have driven on that interchange many times as well.
Oversized load, no escort vehicle?
Was it the turban?
Oversized load strikes overpass?
A-n-o-t-h-e-r Indian driver?
Glad no one got killed.
If there isn’t an app for determining the height of overpasses along a designated route and alerting you to the lowest ones, there’s a money-maker for someone!
Was the driver wearing sandals?
Mountains or plains side of denver ?
Some interesting things with this....
I believe this is the google map view that is in alignment with the view that can be seen in the picture at the link.

There is no height signage posted for this bridge. However, an overpass bridge can be seen in the background and obviously the driver had to pass under that bridge to get to the one that was hit.... the two overpasses are very close to each other. There is a height sign posted on that bridge of 15’-11” in the middle and 15’-7” on the right shoulder side. It would appear obvious that the height of the bridge that got hit was even less than the first one otherwise it would have been the first bridge that got hit.
According to wikipedia, the minimum height for interstate highways is 16’-0”.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interstate_Highway_standards
Specifically, it says this...
“Vertical clearance: The minimum vertical clearance under overhead structures, such as bridges, is 16 feet (4.9 m), including both paved shoulders and an allowance for extra layers of pavement. Through urban areas, at least one routing is to have 16-foot (4.9 m) clearances, but others may have a lesser clearance of 14 feet (4.3 m). Sign supports and pedestrian overpasses must be at least 17 feet (5.2 m) above the road, except on urban routes with lesser clearance, where they should be at least 1 foot (30 cm) higher than other objects. The cross bracing of truss bridges has a special additional clearance requirement of 17.5 feet (5.3 m).”
Mountain side, westbound
I didn’t see anything about the driver
“Oversized load, no escort vehicle?”
Exactly.
here in Florida, the speed limit is 70 on the freeways but I’ve noticed that all of the big heavy trucks. All of the big 18 wheelers are going 80 and 85. It’s a relatively new phenomenon in the last few months so I guess the companies are telling them to shorten their times. Very dangerous it’s like a giant rolling house going 85 mile an hour past you.
Was he hauling chickens?
A low boy load without an escort ?
Don’t they prescreen these routes ?
It only helps if the agency responsible for the warning signs updates them properly. Back in my hometown in Idaho years ago, they re-paved/re-surfaced the road down through an underpass. They added 2-3" of new asphalt. They didn't update the signs.
