The Russian and Chinese leader's creepy discussion involved fantasising about organ transplants and biotechnology in order to "live to 150".
In a private conversation inadvertently captured in Beijing, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping discussed the possibility of achieving "immortality" through organ transplants and advanced medical procedures. The Chinese president, with whom Putin is said to be developing closer ties with, told his Russian counterpart via a translator: "Earlier, people rarely lived to 70, but these days at 70 you are still a child."
In response, Mr. Putin said: "With the development of biotechnology, human organs can be continuously transplanted and people can live younger and younger, and even achieve immortality." Xi then added: "Predictions are, this century, there is also a chance of living to 150."

Putin is thought to be the richest man on earth, money gained from raw power of a 25 year dictatorship where he rules with the absolute power of life and death over his subjects, even over his fellow oligarchs, and in a culture and society known for brutal raw power.
If Putin gets an idea, then he will get what he wants.

Xi and Putin will do the same. Transplants take a huge toll on the body. If they do that they are not extending their life in most cases. Certainly not if they do it multiple times.

There is research on telomeres that make very clear the mechanism of aging, in an overall sense, might be changed. It’s not really a matter of organs. All of the organs are aging at the same time and yes they could be replaced, but the aging is still taking place and you probably cannot catch up organ by organ.
The telomere approach, though . . . .
