17 members? A broad cross-section is needed to represent taxpayers, patients, doctors, pharma, academia, etc.
A broad cross-section of political and philosopical approaches is needed... some empiricists, some not so empirical. Ideally one should have experience with double blind and similar studies...but with not ties to pharma.

Hope they've got Paul Marik^{(click here)}attached, at least an advisor, who and his research team were as ignored by NIH asd laid off from Eastern Virginia Medical School for their findings that established an effective inexpensive food supplement protocol^{(click here)} to avert the replication of the COVID=29 virus and the complications associated with the unproven mRNA quasi-"vaccibe" injections that followed. The quercetin ionophore/ZnO protocol could have supplanted the need of immune system modifying substances, ad needing no prescriptions for it.
