Shirkers of the world, unite!
A strong collective of Zohran Mamdani’s core brain trust are 30-somethings or even younger Gen Zers with little-to-no experience in government — but long histories of radical left-wing politics, a review by The Post found.
Mamdani’s frontrunner status in the Big Apple mayoral race puts these untested youths – who variously have ties to billionaire George Soros, grew up in swanky homes and went to posh private schools – a stone’s throw from the levers of power.
“We’re getting ready for another administration of shocking naïveté,” one Democratic operative said.
The 33-year-old socialist Queens lawmaker harnessed the youth vote to pull off an astounding win in the Democratic primary, all while batting off attacks from opponents that he was too wet behind the ears to effectively govern the nation’s largest city.
But Mamdani has done little after clinching the Dem nomination in June to build up strong stable of seasoned hands or those bearing the calluses of the working class voters that he champions.
Out of roughly 20 operatives in Mamdani’s inner circle, eight are under 36 years old.
Three of those politicos have ties to Soros, the progressive activist and investor – and about half a dozen grew up in million-dollar pads, according to Zillow estimates, with access to celebrities and private schools.
The median salary in the Big Apple is about $58,000 a year – but many of Mamdani’s top confidantes rake in an average of $10,000 to $12,000 a month, a review of campaign finance records found.
“His City Hall inner circle would also be in their 20s and 30s,” said Ken Frydman, a former press secretary for Rudy Giuliani’s City Hall and a longtime Democratic operative.

The big Apple is about to become the Big Horse Apple.
What is with these youngsters - relative youngsters anyway - born into and brought up in affluence, yet they're all radical lefties? Is it just rebellion against Mom and Dad? Are they just arrested adolescents? I don't get it.
there will not be a mamdani bailout
In Context: Zohran Mamdani’s use of phrase ‘seizing the means of production.’ What’s it mean?
Vote for the brazenly corrupt cop or the dirtbag ex-governor son of a dirtbag ex-governor instead.
So Mamdani is propagating more Marxist-like rats into the population. They will be like a virus that either mutates to a less threatening version or, by superior wits, be cast into the ashcan of history by their tails. Their squeals will be music to our ears.
Is it a new Camel Lot for the democrats?
The limousine liberal phenomenon isn’t new, but it does seem to have gotten worse. One of the issues is that the elite private elementary, high schools and colleges that they attend have become super-woke. I see that in San Francisco. The city’s snobbiest girls’ elementary school (the sort of place the Getty scions go) is always festooned with LGBT pride flags, BLM posters etc
If Mayor Mamdani comes to power. the root of the evil isn’t Mamdani, it’s NYC voters. They’ll get the government they deserve — good and HARD. Stupid jackasses.
White guilt.
The Khmer Rouge is coming to NYC and America.
If he gets elected, NYC deserves what they get.
Hear, hear. Let them serve as an object lesson. I’m only glad I don’t live there anymore. I worry for my cousins who live in Queens, though. Like me, they’re arch-conservatives (it’s a family thing that goes back to the Old Country — suffice to say that Marxists aren’t just political enemies, they’re particular enemies of our family. Blood enemies).
Mao was the most evil tyrant to ever live....more evil than Stalin and Hitler combined, IMO.
After they win the election - which they will - the Mahmdami children’s crusade will discover just how ungovernable New York City really is. It’s a gigantic machine that clanks and groans and emits tons of smoke, but somehow keeps moving on at its own pace regardless of who’s ostensibly at the helm.
His millions of young fans on social media: "Yeah, did you see that? We're finally being listened to. Go Zohran."
His Press Secretary is very hot.
The problem isn’t merely Mamdani
It’s NY City. Its at the front of the welfare mentality mindset
The city government survives on skimmings from Wall Street, about 100 super-wealthy people, and Fed.gov handouts and debt. 50% of NY’ers live in subsidized or rent-controlled housing. 60% are on medicaid. There are 1.8 million SNAP recipients in NY City so if you imagine they have at least one child each, that’s 40% of the City as well.
The list goes on and on.
