Why not attempted murder?????
If you have lived most of your life in a town that is 85/15 liberal to conservative, as I have, then you know lots of liberal women. Some of them are worth knowing. We just don’t agree on much.
There are towns in New England that are even darker blue than my town. I would not want to live in most of them.

There’s a comma, separating Wilkins from the first part of the sentence. Then, another comma, explaining that she was a bystander.
There are no liberal women worth knowing, period.
Yes, the commas are there, but the construction of the sentence still denotes the interpretation that I gave.
The judge wants her to take another shot at it but score this time.
