Florida State freshman linebacker Ethan Pritchard was shot Sunday night and is in critical but stable condition in intensive care at a Tallahassee-area hospital, the school said Monday.
According to the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office, Pritchard was in a vehicle outside an apartment building when the shooting happened Sunday night in Havana, Florida, which is about 16 miles from Tallahassee, near the Georgia state line.
An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
Florida State coach Mike Norvell said Monday during his weekly news conference that he was at the hospital with Pritchard's family Sunday night.

This evening reports indicate he was visiting family when he was shot. Found shot in a vehicle. He is ICU in critical condition.
No joy in reading a story like this.
A short list of three or four rules of conduct could avoid almost all of these incidents.
