“a small, benign tumor tucked in his pancreas, which they said may have been lurking there for 15 to 20 years.”
So if it’s “small and benign” and caused no problems in two decades... why excise it? Asking a surgeon whether something should be cut out is analogous to asking a barber whether he recommends a haircut. Being a surgery in-patient at the hospital is one of most dangerous places to be due to possible infections, blood clots, medical error etc. etc.
Highly debatable...
Folks, I highly urge people to get at least one of these scans done. I have had three, over the years.
For $500, you can have this done with the company we used for the two most recent scans (Ezra):
Get a baseline review to know where you were at some point in time. It might just find actionable stuff, too.
This isn't so much as news as it is an ad.
“Princeton Longevity “ in NJ advertised heavily here on the east coast. They do a whole body scan. You’re there for the day. They go over it with you right then and there. I think I looked up the cost and it was 5000. 00 not 500.00 but I could be wrong
The tumor was small slow growing and benign. The unnecessary operation he submitted to was way more of a danger to his life than just leaving it alone and keeping an eye on it.
