“If he really cared about his kids they would not be in public school”
What an arrogant and insulting thing to say. You are insinuating that no parent with kids in public school care about their kids. You sir, sound like a dick.
And, no I do not have kids in public school, so this isn’t me being defensive.
Just to support what you said.
I don’t know the case here or if the kid was having trouble at school
I do know of a kid whose mother home schooled him through HS and it wasn’t good. She was in such denial that he had a learning disability.
I know of other kids who went on from home schooling through high schools and have doctorates
I am always surprised to find out that parents bring their children back into a terrible situation in school. I see it here a lot. And personally. In a Catholic school the kid was psychologically abused with being exposed to satanic crap. Couldn’t sleep for days
The parents, very educated and savvy had a real talking to with the principal. I’m sure the kid was not impressed. But they don’t have the language for that. I would have quit my job and never brought him or his siblings back to them at school, would have quit everything.
I tell young women if they ask do not get married to a man who cannot or will not support your whole family. Work only if you want to. And get out zippety-do when your children need you
Enable your kids to talk and let you know what is going on at school and elsewhere. They won’t. Talk when they know you can’t quit work and be just as happy and able to support them
I know what I’m talking about. And no excuses. That kid stops talking to you, take them out in the car. Get take-out. Do some errands. Have a laugh. They’ll start talking. Be patient. No prodding. Let them know you’re thinking about not working. They’ll talk
Then order home school curriculum and quit.
Then get them to a private school Catholic or whatever. Try it. Check it out
