Dunleavy, like Murkowski, has managed to navigate Alaska’s ranked-choice voting system, a framework critics argue tilts in favor of Democrats. The system helped pave the way for Democrat Mary Peltola’s upset victory in the at-large House race, a seat Republicans had held for decades under the late Don Young.
Murkowski, however, “has never faced a challenger like him,” one source emphasized, pointing to Dunleavy’s unusually broad base of support that extends beyond traditional conservative circles.

I didn’t do it.
Don’t forget the unions. Especially the public sector unions. Also keep in mind that 20 percent is a huge turnout. The feds and the state set the cost of evrything up here since they don’t care what they pay for anything.
I will be doing a lot of praying.
The Demorat primary for governor will be very interesting:
the Secretary of State, Bellows, has announced she is running for the nomination for governor. She tried to keep President Trump’s name off the ballot. Congresswoman Pingree’s daughter is also seek the nomination as is Angus King’s son.
Alaska is a very Republican, but not very conservative state - though it is right of center. However, Dan Sullivan is more the Republican brand there vs. Lisa Murkowski - he’s much more conservative than she has been in her last two terms especially. Another Dan Sullivan type would be a vast improvement.
We moved back to AK prior to the last election. This was our first encounter with it so I did a LOT of research on it. I think they made it difficult to understand purposefully. Was you read and reread and reread the directions, you get the idea. If I didn’t read the directions I would have just checked Trump for every round, which would have negated my vote. As f’d up as that sounds, it confused a lot of people. The outright lies on commercials didn’t help. My favorite was one that said if you repeal RCV, the military will lose their vote. No kidding...
Wow, can’t imagine having to live with such a corrupt political situation.
Being in a good union here and knowing a lot of good union hands in several unions; I am positive the vast majority of the hands support conservatives. Tue union heads play the political games and try to tell us who to vote for, but not doesn’t work for most of us.
That’s good to kmow.
