Parents and children were stunned after a violent brawl broke out between an umpire and a coach during a youth baseball game in Rosemead.
The fight occurred at Rosemead Park Fields on Aug. 24 as dozens of children and families were watching the tournament.
Witnesses said the assistant coach had approached the umpire multiple times, visibly upset about a call in a previous play. When the umpire ejected him from the game, the coach reportedly spat in the umpire’s face and yelled, “You’re a f***ing little b****!”
The umpire dragged the coach to the ground and attempted to kick him before both men attacked each other as they scuffled on the ground. Bystanders ran over to break up the fight as stunned children and parents looked on.

What is it about coaching that attracts so many jerks? It’s pretty much all of them.
For once, it’s NOT them again. The perpetrators were mostly whites.
Who the cares?
Nobody should.
Some people on here are A-OK with yelling at an 8 year old so I know they’ll love this.

Remind me again. What’s the average salary of the players in little league?
Been a rough day for you hasn’t it.
It’s still daylight in AZ, go for a nice walk. Enjoy the day. You’re old enough to know what part of the cruise of life you are in.
Seriously, go outside and say something nice to a total stranger.
I coached for years in my son’s baseball and daughter’s softball leagues.
While I did not always agree with the calls (and some were egregious), I taught my players that the umpire might not always be right, but he/she was always the umpire.
Respect that.
Fyi, I used to referee high school and college water polo. Its a very rough sport. We used to call it full contact swimming. Tempers could get high, and fists loose.
Fortunately i never had to fight a coach, but i did have one during the state quarter finals try to get in my face.
In water polo, the referees have god-like power. I told him to sit down or his team would forfeit and play no more games. He sat. He got that part right.
I never yelled at a kid. Never had to. It’s kinda like command. You either earn the respect of your troops or you resort to authority, which is a loser. This ref apparently didn’t have command presence. And of course the coach should have been tossed long before. The kids suffered, and that is wrong.
Sleep well in AZ.
This is the first time in my memory that Rosemead has gotten into the news.
"Ok, he was safe."
I love drawing scum like you out of the sewer with a few keystrokes. Once again. I have victory over you.
Well do because I empirically observe what goes on around me
It’s a habit
But you guys feel free
Some actually complain it’s too hockey ish
Too many whites
I’m glad they don’t watch Red Bull tower and cliff diving competitions
Or the Isle of Man TT
He who angers you defeats you
I will give you that answer. Today’s fathers were/are jockeys sniffers. Their dream as a kid was to play pro ball. They failed So they push their kids 24/7 with travel ball, etc to live vicariously through their children. I’ve seen it a thousand times. Add onto that that humans are naturally jerks and ta da.
