The NFL gives rings to the losing Super Bowl team. Granted, they’re Conference Champions.
The 1969 Minnesota Vikings did win the NFL Championship game, but they did not receive the associated Ed Thorp Memorial Trophy. The trophy, which was awarded to the last NFL champion before the AFL-NFL merger, was actually found in the possession of the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame, with the Vikings never getting it.
