I never knew the ‘Sharona’ behind the tune! Always LOVED that song - it has it all; great base line, you can dance to it, catchy and memorable lyrics, etc.
If course as a, ‘Diana’ guys older than I am have always sung the Paul Anka version of ‘Diana’ to me. A 1957 hit; I was born in 1960.
Hey! It’s better than being associated with Michael Jackson’s ‘Dirty Diana!’ LOL!

Hey! It’s better than being associated with Michael Jackson’s ‘Dirty Diana!’ LOL! I read Michael Jackson was reluctant to play that song at his concerts in London, because he didn't want to offend, Princess Dianna, but she told him she loved the song, so there you go.

I think John Cash and EW&F have songs called Dianna.
But I am not sure you want to listen to Diane by Hüsker Dü that song is crazy.

My name is Lorraine and back in the day I was often serenaded by “Sweet Lorraine.” Never liked that song in the first place, but it was an ice breaker for sure.
