Wife and I really enjoyed it. You have to listen to every sentence. Tight dialogue, sarcasm, etc. It is that will written
Yep, been watching Bosch.good series.
I was recently surfing Netflix one evening and came across it. I love detective shows, especially foreign. Doesn’t even matter if they’re in another language, as long as they have English subtitles. I started watching Dept. Q, then binge-watched the entire first season. It was terrific. I look forward to more seasons.
I might give it a watch. I loved Damian Lewis in Billions on Showtime. He was Bobby Axelrod.
It's a bit of copycat of Slow Horses on Apple TV.
Agreed
Thanks for the heads up on the second season for this show. It’s been in my queue since it first aired. I’ll get to it eventually. I like Matthew Goode. He played Lady Mary’s husband in Downton Abbey, and played the vampire Matthew Clairmont in “Discovery of Witches,” and has been in many other productions as well.
“”Curious if anyone has stumbled upon Dept. Q. Very interesting new series. Refreshing that the lead character is boldly NOT PC. Amazing it was on Netflix.””
Yeah, I’ve seen it. It was good. Looking forward to the 2nd season. Didn’t warm up to the lead character at first though... but he tends to grow on ya. He’s one of those guys that likes to act like an AH but deep down, he’s fighting the good guy in himself.
“”It is a pretty good show. Especially if you want to practice your comprehension of thick UK accents.””
I don’t. I cheat. I use Closed Captions.
He stepped in front of Ahmed to take the shotgun blast. Luckily it was buckshot, not a slug.

Oh, he is definitely brave and bold. Not exactly how I picture the average Brit. I love how he interacts with the shrink (who he has the hots for).
I enjoyed the series and it has some very good moments and interesting characters (who actually display character). Matthew Goode’s performance is a big departure from his usual posh roles.
No gay sex, as in all HBO shows.
” Haven’t seen any gay crap yet.”
normally, woke garbage is introduced slowly in later episodes of a new show, hoping that the frogs [fans] won’t notice they’re being boiled with wokeism ...
woke introduction starts around episode 3-4, and the show is fully woke by episode 8 or so ... i quit watching as soon as i see the first introduction of wokeism because i know what’s coming ...

Thanks for the heads up. Just checked it out and it seems very good.
I hear ya
You absolutely will not see any of that in Dept. Q.
Agree, it's a bit of a struggle at times.
It's a wee bit shite! LOL
😂👍
